Safety Optimizer’s purpose is to protect your privacy while surfing the web with Internet Explorer. Safety Optimizer will safeguard confidential information, safeguard data when it is transmitted over the web, control access to private online activities, block online surveillance and snooping. It will protect against surveillance and other intrusions, it will block navigation to websites that have weak TSL/SSL certificates.

Seeing that it is only 1.3Mb in size, it’s safe to say that downloading Safety Optimizer’s installer will take little time. The same goes for installing the application. Run the aforementioned installer, accept the license agreement, and the application will be quickly installed on your Windows-powered machine.

Safety Optimizer’s interface is similar to the prompt to change UAC (User Account Control) settings. To the left there’s a slider that allows you to select a protection level. And to the right you will see information on the protection level you select.

There are three protection levels to choose from:
Switched Off - Safety Optimizer is turned of and does not protect your online browsing.
Optimal Protection – protects online browsing and private communications, blocks weak and unsecured TLS/SSL sites, blocks sites with low or sites that don’t meet current security encryption standards.
Maximum protection – maximum security for online browsing and private communications, maximum online encryption, only the most secure TLS/SSL sites are allowed, blocks all sites that have less than the highest security standard.

Say you pick the maximum protection level. After doing so, you will be presented with a webpage that informs you that: “You are now better protected against surveillance or other intrusions. Your browser will block navigation to a website that has weak TSL/SSL certificates.”

Safety Optimizer works with Internet Explorer 8 or newer.
Use Safety Optimizer and your browsing sessions on Internet Explorer will be safer. Safety Optimizer will protect your privacy while surfing the web.

Safety Optimizer does not currently support Firefox.

Pros

Very, very little time will be spent on getting Safety Optimizer up and running. There’s nothing complicated about the interface; from the simple interface you can pick one of three protection levels. The application provides support for Internet Explorer 8 or newer. Safety Optimizer is freeware.
